This ecological Christmas market is organized by Berlin Grüne Liga, an NGO supporting environmental and social actions, for Berlin sustainable development. The bio food market takes place on Kollwitzplatz each Thursday but they do a special edition for Christmas. You’ll find there jewels, toys, clothes, arts and crafts from all over the world. You can also buy super fresh and high quality food from Brandenburg farmers.

Japanese Xmas Market – Kreuzberg/Alt-Treptow
3th & 4th Dezember
In 2014 the first Japanese Christmas market took place at Urban Spree and the success was so big than a huge line stood outside over 2 days. That’s why they moved to the huge Arena in 2015 and there was as much as people. According to the Facebook event page for the 2016 edition, it’s gonna be the same situation so go early if you want to enjoy this celebration of Japanese food and culture.

Weihnachtsrodeo market – Friedrichschain
10., 11., 17. & 18 Dezember
This Christmas Market is a well balanced mix of fashion and jewelry (young designers from all over the world but mainly based in Germany) as well as art prints, original gifts for kids, handmade beauty products or special local treats like booze or pastries. In 2016, the market will be held at the beautiful and massive Postbahnhof am Ostbahnhof.

The Green Market Berlin Xmas Edition – Agora Rollberg Neukölln

Vegan, vegan, vegan… When you live in Berlin you can’t avoid the vegan movement, which has grew those last years to become a massive community. The first edition was actually a bit light but each season became more and more interesting. Probably the biggest machine in the Christmas market scene! The concept is launched in 2004 by Team Deluxe and each year, Holy Shit Shopping go on tour: Hamburg, Köln, Berlin, Stuttgart, over each advent week-ends. In 2016, the market will be held in the impressive Kraftwerk Berlin, to gather around 300 of designers in art, fashion, accessories, decoration, beauty and also of course food, drinks and music. Semi-Domesticated is a online magazine and online shop founded by Anette K. Hansen. Through their site, the team support and promote a conscious consumerism, local designers or inspiring entrepreneurs. They organized for the first time a popup christmas store, where you will for sure, find the perfect gifts for your loved ones.

The famous and beloved Nowkölln and Kreuzboerg flea markets, taking place over spring, summer and fall also have a special opening for Christmas. last opportunity to enjoy the canal with a comfy glühwein, eating something freshly cooked along the way and discovering, once again, some talented designers. The Kreuzboerg Market will be held in house.
