Dress Me Berlin is written by one person, and that is the whole point of it. Emilie Trochu has lived in Berlin since before the guide existed, shops in the city she writes about, and visits every listing before publishing it. There is no contributor network, no submitted copy, and no press releases reprinted as reviews.
Go to the shop. Look at what is actually on the rails rather than what the website claims. Note the price tier, the opening hours, the neighbourhood, and who the shop is genuinely for. Then write it down by hand, including the part about who should skip it. Entries are re-checked over time, and shops that close or change concept are removed rather than left standing.
Outside the guide, Emilie works as a content strategy and SEO consultant for arts organisations, galleries, creative e-commerce and international brands entering French-speaking markets. She works in French, English and German, between Berlin and Paris.
