Shop vibe
Quiet, precise, more gallery than shop
Pannierstrasse is not where you expect to find a Celine belt, and that gap between the street and the stock is most of what makes The Good Store interesting. Gerda Juenemann opened it in 2014, and it has stayed deliberately small ever since. This is not a shop you rummage. It is a shop you look at.
Everything is on consignment, womenswear led, and the edit is tight enough that you can see the whole selection without moving much.
Prada, Celine, Jil Sander, Jacquemus, Issey Miyake, A.P.C. Alongside the clothes, fine jewellery by Saskia Diez, YCCIJ and Caroline Dieler, which is a genuinely unusual thing to find next to second hand rails.
Prices, from their own current stock: an A.P.C. scarf at 110€, Jil Sander silk trousers at 140€, an Issey Miyake cap at 195€, a Jacquemus Chiquito bag at 245€, a Celine belt at 410€, a Prada dress at 450€, a Prada mini messenger at 1200€. This is the expensive end of Berlin second hand and it does not pretend otherwise.
The terms are public, which is rare and worth respecting: you get 50 percent of the sale price, paid after a six to eight week consignment period. Pieces have to be cleaned and seasonally right, and you need an appointment to bring them in.
You want one investment piece and you know exactly which label. You are selling something good and want honest terms. You care about jewellery as much as clothes.
Skip it if your budget is under a hundred euros. You will love it and leave empty handed.
